God blesses parents with children and being part of the church community can aid in raising them in the ways of the Lord. Within this church family, children can develop meaningful friendships, grow in faith, and even discover their purpose.
Presenting a baby to the Lord demonstrates the parents' commitment to establishing a foundation of Biblical principles and nurturing their child with Godly values and education based on God's teachings
We commemorate these occasions when parents bring their young ones to church, where our leaders and community come together to offer prayers for both the children and their families.
Deuteronomy 6:5-7 And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.
Mark 10:13-16 One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him. When Jesus saw what was happening, he was angry with his disciples. He said to them, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.” Then he took the children in his arms and placed his hands on their heads and blessed them.
